Lakeside, Oregon, Grand Canyon National Park, & Flagstaff, Arizona

In early September, my sister and I took a road trip to Lakeside, Oregon for a week. Then we headed out to the Grand Canyon for three days. We camped on the East Rim for two nights and then camped on the South Rim for the final night. Finally, we spent a couple more days visiting my girlfriend in Flagstaff, Arizona. The experience was awesome, and was such a great way to end the summer.

Lakeside, Oregon, Redwood National Park, & Pacific Coast

During the second half of August, my sister and I took a two week road trip. We traveled to Lakeside, Oregon to stay with a family friend for a week. Then we headed down the Pacific Coast and camped in the Redwoods for four nights before traveling down the PCH towards Southern California.

After countless hours of driving, a 15.5 mile hike, and even an encounter with a family of bears, I worked through over 2000 pictures. Below are some of my favorites.

Khola, Newbury Park, California

Over the course of the lockdown due to COVID-19, I started on a small photography project. I photographed my dog, Khola over the course of several different evenings. I challenged myself to use a variety of lenses including a 50mm prime lens, a 16-35mm wide angle lens, a 24-70mm lens, a 100mm macro lens, and finally a 70-200mm telephoto lens. I compiled the best images from the different evenings. Check them out!

Happy Quarantine! I hope everyone has managed to stay safe and healthy.

Over the three-day weekend for Martin Luther King Jr. Day a friend and I spent a few days exploring Big Sur, California. It was a bit cold, but incredibly fun nonetheless.

Lakeside, Oregon & California Coast

At the end of August, my sister and I took a road trip to spend a week in Lakeside, Oregon with a family friend. We decided to drive home along the PCH, camping along the Navarro River in Northern California for one night and camping south of Big Sur, California for the next. I absolutely loved the scenery along the way as we traversed down the Pacific Coast.

We decided to drive home along the PCH, camping along the Navarro River in Northern California for one night and camping south of Big Sur, California for the next. I absolutely loved the scenery along the way, as we traversed down the Pacific Coast.

I quickly started editing the photos and finally finished compiling some of my favorites. The images were all created with a Canon 5D Mark IV and were predominantly edited with Adobe Lightroom.

The pictures are presented chronologically, which I rarely do, but it felt right for this group of images. I hope they provide you with even a small taste of the experience of exploring the Pacific Coast.

Montaña de Oro State Park, Los Osos, California

I photographed a sunset a few weeks ago at Montaña de Oro State Park along California’s central coast. It was my last sunset before I headed home from college for the summer. It ended up being a real pretty sunset to finish off the year.

San Simeon, California

Last Sunday I drove up to San Simeon, California for sunset and stopped at a pullout along the PCH a little south of Hearst Castle. I was excited to get a colorful sunset since the last four or five times I’d gone out to photograph had been incredibly overcast.
